About Me

Hello, I am a professional circus artist of 20 years, I have performed at venues such as: The Barbican, Stockholm Opera House, and Milan Fashion Week. However now tired, I am currently writing a book exploring the history and culture of fairgrounds, with a focus on celebrating the rich heritage of Hampshire’s Showmen and Romany Gypsies – to challenge negative stereotypes and promote greater understanding.

I am interested in running workshops with the Travelling communities, both to honour their rich heritage and to engage those who wish to learn more about these vibrant cultures.

I have skills in:
Storytelling/giving talks on my heritage & circus
Producing
Circus and performing arts
Costume making / Sewing
Mentoring
Education (non-formal)

Hi I’m Kelly, a resin crafter (Resin Expectations), author (Beyond the Ordinary, Crafting in a Crisis, and Selling at Craft Events – A beginners Guide) and director of The Crafters Collective – Princes Mead Farnborough. As a female, neurodivergent, creative business owner, my mission is to help people be their authentic selves. Whether that’s with my creations – inspired by goth, fantasy and steampunk genres – or giving other crafters a space to sell their work, and express themselves through their creations, I want to make the benefits of creativity accessible to all. Crafting has been a focus throughout my life, whenever things have been difficult, and I want to share its mental health benefits with everyone.

I am a Wiltshire-based visual artist and consultant working with people and places through commissions, projects, residencies, walks and workshops. I work with media of relevance to each place, its ecology and heritage, from ‘natural’ and recycled materials, to photographs, text, sound and video. Previous Hampshire residencies have included working with Spud (New Forest), John Hansard Museum (Southampton) and Andover Museum. My consultancy work includes writing for publication, mentoring for emerging artists/creatives, and advisory work/professional development for the arts/heritage and environmental sectors. Access and inclusion is key to all my work, with a particular focus on the value of queer and neurodivergent voices/experiences.
