Hello, I am a professional circus artist of 20 years, I have performed at venues such as: The Barbican, Stockholm Opera House, and Milan Fashion Week. However now tired, I am currently writing a book exploring the history and culture of fairgrounds, with a focus on celebrating the rich heritage of Hampshire’s Showmen and Romany Gypsies – to challenge negative stereotypes and promote greater understanding. I am interested in running workshops with the Travelling communities, both to honour their rich heritage and to engage those who wish to learn more about these vibrant cultures. I have skills in: Storytelling/giving talks on my heritage & circus Producing Circus and performing arts Costume making / Sewing Mentoring Education (non-formal)

I am a community archaeologist & wellbeing facilitator. I love to discover and tell untold stories from the past & to help people discover history & engage in cultural heritage. I help heritage organisations with community engagement, co-creation, education, outreach & interpretation. I offer public historical walks and talks. I am passionate about the role heritage can play in wellbeing & communities. I enjoy taking heritage into care settings & groups, with through reminiscence & object handling. I have completed the Green Dementia Care programme am looking forward to offering Elders of the Woods sessions very soon. In community venues, I run Arts, Crafts & Archaeology workshops & work with social prescribers.  

I deliver learning, engagement, interpretation and digital comms. My website has examples of what I can deliver. I work in a couple of ways – Off-the-shelf – I have existing packages I can tweak to meet your needs if you’re looking for work around reminiscence, training or family workshops. Bespoke – if you’re looking for support with a project or new activity including exhibition text, trails, consultation etc. Coming from a land-based background, I have a particular interest in rural communities and issues around land-based occupations, community and heritage.
