About Us

Culture in Common is a community-led arts and culture programme for the New Forest, funded by Arts Council England’s Creative People and Places initiative. Led by a consortium including Energise Me, Folio, The Handy Trust, New Forest District Council, and the National Park Authority, it aims to increase cultural engagement in underserved areas. Since 2022, it has reached over 45,000 residents through workshops, exhibitions, and creative clubs, co-designed with local communities to reflect their interests and needs.

Sustainable Conservation Trust

Sustainable Conservation Trust

  • Hampshire
We’re the Sustainable Conservation Trust (SCT) – a not-for-profit team of architects, artists, and placemakers reusing historic buildings through creative collaboration and technology. From forts and slaughterhouses to alleyways and pop-ups, we bring forgotten spaces back to life with community at the heart. Our base at the Old Pay Office in Historic Dockyard is a living lab for residencies, skills workshops, and test projects. We welcome creatives of all kinds to join us in reimagining heritage – as a platform, not a museum piece. If you’re a local maker, artist, designer, photographer, coder, or storyteller and think heritage is more than bricks and plaques – let’s talk.

The museum explores the history of Lymington and the New Forest Coast, inspired by local pride, and supported by the local community, its collections and colourful, hands-on displays offer a fascinating insight into the area for all ages. Our vision is to become the most respected small Museum and Art Gallery in the UK – using art, heritage and culture to inspire the whole community.

Treehouse Theatre, based in Bournemouth, creates interactive theatre and drama workshops that inspire people to surprise themselves with their own creativity. We want every audience to feel their experience was unique because they were part of it. With 20yrs experience, we mainly work in Hampshire & Dorset with primary age children, families, and people of all ages with additional needs. We’re passionate about inclusivity, and love bringing the primary history curriculum to life through Play in a Days & Living History Workshops. Each year we write a new touring pantomime style show for schools, events, SEND settings and care organisations, with up to 30 audience members joining us onstage. We’re a pop up theatre, happy to perform in or out.
