A new National Lottery Heritage Fund project, that will explore, research, and co-create a more contemporary and representative narrative of Portsmouth’s (and surrounding areas) LGBTQ+ heritage. Led by Y Services, in partnership with Portsmouth City Archives and Hampshire Cultural Trust, the project will:
• Train young people and volunteers in heritage research skills
• Record oral histories
• Document the history and growth of Portsmouth Pride
• Deliver exhibitions, events, and community learning
We believe this project offers an exciting opportunity for local organisations, community centres, groups, and local residents to get involved.
