Hampshire Cultural Trust was established as an independent charity in 2014 to promote Hampshire as a county that offers outstanding cultural experiences to both its residents and visitors. We manage and support visitor attractions, museums, art galleries and arts centres across Hampshire that were previously operated by Hampshire County Council and Winchester City Council. We run a huge variety of workshops, classes, events and projects for both young and old, in schools and in communities, with particular emphasis on reaching people who are vulnerable or disadvantaged and would not normally be able to access arts and culture.

At the University of Winchester, we believe in the transformative power of culture and creativity. As a local anchor institution, we are dedicated to building a thriving and dynamic community where art, celebration of our heritage, and innovation flourish. Collaboration is the key to creating meaningful societal, civic, and community-based benefits. We are creative producers. We are passionate about developing and producing world-class, boundary-pushing visual performance work in the Solent (where we are based), UK and globally. Our mission is to: Connect artists, programmers and communities across local and global borders and inspire cross-cultural exchange. Discover and develop new artistic talent on our doorstep and across the globe through a producing model that centres innovation, risk and careful collaboration. Produce world-class, boundary-pushing artworks, performances and creative projects for and with communities and audiences of all nationalities and ages everywhere.
