
Jim Mitchell is the Access and Learning Manager at the New Forest National Park Authority, where he leads on delivering inclusive and inspiring opportunities for people to connect with the landscape, heritage and wildlife of the National Park. He oversees programmes that promote responsible access, outdoor learning, interpretation and skills development, working closely with schools, youth groups, local communities and national partners. Passionate about equity of access, he is committed to removing barriers to participation, particularly for under-served groups. Jim is a Fellow of the Association for Heritage Interpretation.
New Forest National Park Authority
We are responsible for conserving and enhancing the New Forest and promoting understanding and enjoyment of the things that make it special. We are the local planning authority for the National Park. As well as our nature conservation and visitor information responsibilities, our services include education, interpretation, recreation and archaeology.
