You only need to include information you are comfortable sharing publicly. If you add your address to your listing, this will appear as a pin on the homepage map, but there is no obligation to do this.
Signing in to the website does not automatically add you to the directory. However, once you're signed in, a 'create' button will appear in the top right corner, allowing you to add directory listings, including profiles. Listings can include individual profiles, organisations, collectives, job opportunities, funding, spaces for hire, training and sector events.
Yes, all information added to the Culture Connects directory is available to view publicly.
You can add listings for as many items that fit the criteria of the directory, including multiple job vacancies, training and sector events.
Culture Connects is aimed at artists, creatives and cultural organisations rather than the general public. Events that are of interest to anyone working in – or who wants to work in - the creative industries are ideal for Culture Connects, e.g. training, networking, best-practice sharing. Although public events cannot be advertised here on Culture Connects, you are more than welcome to include a line about what you offer in your ‘About me’ section as well as a link to your website/socials.
Culture Connects is not a platform for promoting public events such as exhibitions or classes, so please do not add any events that are intended for public participation. If you are adding an event that is intended for sector colleagues, it must relate to arts, culture and the creative industries. If you would like to advertise a public-facing event, please get in touch with your Cultural Development Manager and they can advise you. Although public events cannot be advertised here on Culture Connects, you are more than welcome to include a line about what you offer in your ‘About me’ section as well as a link to your website/socials.
It’s entirely up to you – please choose the one that best suits what you do.
We aim to approve all listings within three working days.
You can add up to three images in a gallery on each listing. They will be displayed in a square format.
Images should be no more than 1MB in size, 1000px by 1000px and either a jpg or png.
Yes, of course - you are more than welcome to add yourself as an individual or organisation to the directory if you would like to connect with creatives in Hampshire. Generally we suggest sector events should take place in Hampshire, but if you feel you have something relevant for the directory that takes place outside of Hampshire, please do get in touch.
