The Villagers are based in Gosport in Hampshire, and began life in 1986 with a production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Little Woodham (‘The 17th Century Village’). Every year since we have put on an open air production of one of Shakespeare’s plays, in Little Woodham and – in recent years – elsewhere across Southern England. Our aim is to enjoy ourselves, and to share some of that enjoyment with our audiences.

The South Downs National Park has it all – rolling hills, glorious heathland, river valleys, ancient woodland, thriving villages and towns. We are the youngest National Park in England, and the most densely populated, spanning from Winchester in the west to Eastbourne in the east. This iconic landscape is managed in partnership for nature, beauty and heritage, for the benefit of people – communities and visitors alike. It has been a refuge and sanctuary, a working landscape and a recreational one, an inspiration for artists over centuries. We both seek to preserve the unique archaeological and historical legacies of past communities and support the creation of new responses to the landscape by contemporary artists, writer and makers.

Strengthening Communities and empowering individuals through creative and educational wellbeing workshops and projects. Think Big Do Bigger CIC deliver a range of creative and educational workshops, courses and projects for adults within the community, all of which are designed to improve your wellbeing. Within the workplace Think Big Do Bigger CIC delivers reflective practice, stress management training and other wellbeing related interventions.
