Rushmoor
Rushmoor is a borough in
the north-east of Hampshire consisting of two towns,
Aldershot and Farnborough.
Cultural heritage
Each town boasts distinctive cultural and heritage assets which emphasise their military and aviation legacy, including Farnborough Air Sciences Trust Museum (FAST).
Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre and the biennial Farnborough International Airshow draw national and international audiences in the tens of thousands.
Other local events, such as Victoria Day,
are equally very well attended.
Portfolio organisations
Rushmoor is home to two Hampshire Cultural Trust venues, Aldershot Military Museum and the West End Centre. Other Arts Council National Portfolio Organisations delivering work in the borough include Nutkhut, Kala the Arts, Artswork and Stopgap.
Working with us
Through Culture Connects, we work to support local individuals, organisations, businesses and community groups.
We support those who are already delivering or have an ambition to deliver cultural provision across the borough.
Rushmoor Borough Council and partners have developed a cultural strategy.
The strategy celebrates the distinctiveness, diversity and legacy of arts, culture and heritage that exist across people and places in Rushmoor and aims to bring about a step change in cultural engagement.
