Our work
Our impact
At the heart of everything we do is our core purpose
of changing lives through culture.
Our case studies show how culture in all its forms impacts our community.
Case study:
Elevate Work Experience
New Milton’s Forest Arts Centre partnered with Forest Forge Theatre
on their Elevate project.
The project was funded by Arts Council England and the New Forest District Council Levelling Up Fund, with the aim of bringing together young people from different backgrounds and helping them to gain work experience and skills in the creative sector.
“This group has inspired me to do better with my life.
I may have mountains to climb as an ex-addict,
but this has given me the tools for when I get outside to climb them.”

Brighter futures
Running since 2018, Brighter Futures works with adults from across the county, engaging them in creative activities to support their mental health and wellbeing.
The programme’s courses aim to build confidence, provide space and time for individuals to process and work through personal challenges and life changes, develop interests and skills and provide opportunities to connect with others.
“We chose children who did not have experience of visiting a gallery before, for several reasons such as financial, but who had an interest in art…The artwork they produced was of a higher quality than they would have achieved if we had done the project in school.
I strongly believe that this is because the opportunity of being in the gallery elevated their approach to the project and also because they were immersed in a wealth of art that inspired them. Feeding back to their peers also made them feel valued in the school.”

ICE Heritage
ICE Heritage provided a supportive opportunity in a safe setting for young people referred by Hampshire CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) to learn art and heritage skills at three Hampshire Cultural Trust museums – Aldershot Military Museum, Andover Museum and Museum of the Iron Age and Westbury Manor Museum.
Community stories are at the heart of everything we do.
