Job Description

Do you have a passion for history, museums, or archives? Are you detail-oriented and eager to gain hands-on experience in collections management? Join our team as a Collections Catalogue Volunteer!

We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated individual to assist the Keeper of Collections in auditing and cataloguing Lord Montagu’s private Collection. This role involves supporting the ongoing development and maintenance of the Collection catalogue, which spans multiple sites including Palace House, the SOE Exhibition, Beaulieu Abbey, Buckler’s Hard, Winery Store, the Lodge, and Beufre Barn.

You would be assisting in auditing and cataloguing items across the Collection’s various locations, inputting and managing data using a FileMaker database (full training provided) and processing and managing large volumes of data with accuracy and consistency while maintaining confidentiality and a high standard of record keeping.

This position is for one 6 hour day per week.
