Creative Communities Practitioner

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Creative Communities Practitioner to join our ambitious team at The Point & The Berry Theatre.

This role is required to work at The Point, Eastleigh and The Berry, Hedge End as well as external community locations across Eastleigh.

Working flexibly to meet the needs of the programme including Saturday youth theatre delivery:

• Deliver engaging Saturday youth theatre sessions for years 1 – 9
• Design and deliver a range of other income generating creative activities
• Produce and administrate projects/activities to a high-level
• Develop strong relationships with schools and other partner organisations

The Point, Eastleigh, is a vibrant cultural hub steeped in history and creativity. Developed in 1996 with one of the first National Lottery grants, this venue combines the charm of its late 1800s origins with modern enhancements. The main auditorium is located in Eastleigh’s original Town Hall, while the Studio Theatre was formerly part of the town’s library. A significant expansion in 2009 introduced the Creation Space, seamlessly integrating new facilities with the building’s historic character. In 2015, The Point became one of Arts Council England’s National Portfolio Organisations.
